SUN WATT, an ANRE-certified company for both design and installation, builds transformer stations in concrete enclosures, pole-mounted (aerial) or wall-mounted, across Bucharest, Ilfov and Giurgiu. The service is provided on the basis of a personalised quote, once the solution has been established through the Technical Connection Approval (ATR) issued by Retele Electrice Romania (Distributie Energie Electrica Romania).
When you need it
A transformer station is typically needed for industrial halls, warehouses, residential developments, shopping centres, farms with irrigation systems, electric vehicle charging stations and workshops running heavy machinery. It is also required when expanding existing operations or developing land that has no grid connection nearby.
How it works — step by step
- Step 1: Assessing the demand and the connection request. We determine the power required in kVA/kW, then prepare and submit the connection request to Retele Electrice Romania so they can assess connection to the medium-voltage grid.
- Step 2: The Technical Connection Approval (ATR). The operator issues the ATR (Technical Connection Approval), setting out the technical conditions, the delimitation point, the solution and the connection tariff. The final quote is then drawn up on this basis.
- Step 3: Connection contract and design. Once the contract is signed and the tariff is paid, we prepare the technical design (enclosure, transformer, medium-voltage cells, low-voltage switchboard, protections and earthing).
- Step 4: Installation and assembly. We carry out the work on a turnkey basis: site preparation, installation of the enclosure and equipment, fitting of the transformer and cells, connections, earthing electrodes and technical testing. All work is performed by ANRE-certified personnel.
- Step 5: Dossier, acceptance and energisation. We compile the Utilisation Installation Dossier (DIU), prepare the acceptance documentation, coordinate the operator's checks, and arrange meter installation and energisation.
Required documents
- Identity document of the beneficiary or authorised representative
- Proof of ownership of the land/building (up-to-date land registry extract)
- Urban planning certificate for the station's location
- Site and zoning location plan
- Connection request (prepared by your supplier)
- Technical details of the power requested and the equipment
- Co-owners' consent (if the station is shared or on jointly owned land)
