Electricity grid connection is the process by which a plot of land, a house or new premises is connected to the electricity distribution network, so that you can have your own meter and power at the socket. SUN WATT (bransam.ro) handles the complete service — the full application file, the Technical Connection Approval (ATR), the connection contract, the service line works and the Utilization Installation Dossier (DIU) — so you do not have to run between offices yourself. Our ANRE-certified team manages the technical work and the relationship with the network operator from start to finish. Call us on 0733 097 440 for a clear, transparent quote.
When you need it
You need this service when you are building a new house on a plot that has no connection, buying land that is not yet connected to the grid, fitting out commercial premises or industrial units with no power supply, setting up a construction site, reconnecting a property that has been disconnected, or requesting a power increase or a switch from single-phase to three-phase supply.
How it works — step by step
- Connection request and documents. We gather and complete your file: the connection request, identity document, proof of ownership (Land Registry extract), urban planning certificate and the site/location plan. The file is submitted to Retele Electrice Romania S.A. (Distributie Energie Electrica Romania).
- Technical Connection Approval (ATR). The operator reviews the request and issues the ATR (Technical Connection Approval) — the document that sets out the technical solution, the approved power and the connection tariff. This is the stage at which the exact cost is confirmed.
- Connection contract. Once the ATR has been issued, the contract is signed with the operator and the connection tariff is paid. The works can then proceed in line with the approved solution.
- Service line design and works. The design is drawn up and the service line (overhead or underground) is installed by our ANRE-certified team, in accordance with the solution set out in the ATR and the technical standards in force.
- DIU, meter and energising. We prepare the Utilization Installation Dossier (DIU) — the file certifying your internal electrical installation — with an ANRE-certified electrician, after which the operator installs the meter and energises the installation.
